We get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we fix it openly rather than quietly.
Tell us
Email [TO BE COMPLETED] with the article URL, the passage that is wrong, and what the correct position is. Evidence helps but is not required to make a report.
What we do
| Stage | Timeline |
|---|---|
| We acknowledge your report | Within 24 hours |
| We check it against the original sources | Within 2 working days |
| We correct, or explain why we think the article is right | Within 2 working days |
How we mark corrections
- Typographical fixes — spelling, grammar, a broken link — are made silently.
- Factual corrections carry a dated correction note at the foot of the article saying what was wrong and what it now says.
- Substantial errors — where the central claim was wrong — additionally get a note at the top, and we update the headline if it was the headline that misled.
- Articles we cannot stand up are withdrawn, with an explanation left in place at the same URL. We do not delete silently.
Because our articles are AI-assisted
AI drafting makes certain errors more likely: a number carried over wrongly, a qualification dropped, two similar stories conflated. We treat any report of these as high priority, and a repeated pattern causes us to change the safeguards described in our Editorial & AI Policy — not just to fix the single article.
